In order to formalise my folie design concept into a project 2, I produced 2 panels of design inspiration. The first touches on my original concept of the wing and translates it into an Avian/Lepidoptera theory from the idea of "flight" and "wing." The second is a compilation of different existing artefacts in the built world including biomimetic architecture and design.
After researching these features I have decided I will produce a performing arts centre and delve deeper into the role of birds of flight to produce my biomimetic design proposal for Howard Smith Wharves. My next step will be to produce detailed analysis of the site and biomimetic architecture which could be relevant to my avian discourse.
